“It’s bigger than ever this year…Everyone has found ways to celebrate her,” said Stephen Goldsmith, an artist, planner and professor who runs the Urban Ecology program at the University of Utah and serves as director of the Center for the Living City, an organization devoted to “advancing the observations of Jane Jacobs.”“We’re always getting new information” about Jacobs–oriented events, Goldsmith said. “It builds up organically…That’s what gives it its vitality.”
