Job prospects look great for planners, especially in the western US

Job prospects look great for planners, especially in the western US

Bureau of Labor Statistics finds that “Employment of urban and regional planners is projected to grow 13 percent from 2016 to 2026, faster than the average for all occupations. Demographic, transportation, and environmental changes will drive employment growth for planners.” (Bureau of Labor Statistics). Growth means jobs for planners and opportunities to address concerns about affordable housing, traffic congestion, sprawl, and air pollution.
