JOB #: 1908987 Full Time; Career Salary Range: $90,000-$115,000/annually.

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Administrative services include activities in finance and human resources and may also include IT, facilities, or student services. General management includes long and short-range strategic planning in determining the mission and directing all activities of multi-disciplinary departments through subordinate management staff. Under the general direction of the Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) Director, the Associate Director collaborates with the Director in leadingand managing the organization which includes: overseeing parking field operations, permit sales and programs, and campus transit; writing, editing, and managing communications to the campus community; representing the department in committees and presentations; writing and maintaining employee manuals; performing disciplinary actions; maintaining the department business continuity, emergency preparedness, and injury and illness prevention plans; assisting the Director in identifying, planning, and implementing strategic initiatives; and developing and revising parking- and program-related policies and procedures. Collaborates with campus ADA access coordinator, ensuring that TAPS programs are accessible to and usable by people with disabilities. Acts as back-up to the Director, including staffing the campus Emergency Operations Center as needed. Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) supports the University mission of academics, research and public service by providing and managing access to UC Santa Cruz and overseeing the planning, design and operation of the facilities and programs associated with parking, transit services, and bicycle/pedestrian circulation. This position requires passing a pre-employment criminal history background check. Selected candidates cannot begin work until passing their background check.
