Leadership and Community Engagement class is a community-engaged learning course open to undergraduates (CMP 4030) and graduate students (CMP 6030).
Students work with westside residents as part of the Westside Leadership Institute. The course is a part of a long-standing partnership with University Neighborhood Partners and Neighborworks that teaches the basics of leadership development while students engage in small community projects. The class is in English but sometimes will meet with a Spanish course where the simultaneous translation will be provided.
This is a hybrid course, the class will be held each Thursday from 5:30-8:30 pm in Zoom and in an SLC west side location. If you are interested or know anyone that would like to enhance their leadership skills, I encourage you to follow the CMP website (http://westside.cap.utah.edu/westside-leadership-institute/) and the WLI website (https://www.westsideleadership.org/) to learn more about the class and program.
Please feel free to share the flyer with your network as well. If you have any questions contact Assistant Professor Ivis Garcia Zambrana at firstname.lastname@example.org.
