Alexis Verson is a multi-modal transportation planner for Salt Lake City. She is a graduate of the University of Utah, earning a bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning in 2012. Alexis has been working in the public sector for Salt Lake City for the past six years. Currently, she is managing complete street studies, facilitating first/last-mile projects, and implementing communication strategies for the Transportation Division. She recently participated in an international fellowship with the American Council for Young Political Leaders and spent time in Yangon, Myanmar facilitating mobility planning workshops with the Yangon School of Political Science and US Embassy’s American Center. Alexis also met with local NGO’s, and state policy makers on transportation issues in the capital city of Yangon. Alexis is currently finishing up a Master’s of Strategic Communications program with Westminster College, and enjoys facilitating organization communication strategies, crisis communication plans, and other strategic projects with local clients. In her free time, Alexis enjoys backpacking with her dog, cross-country motorcycle trips, fly fishing, and snowboarding.
