How did you discover urban planning?
During my time studying public health at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, I was introduced to the field of urban planning. Taking a course about how the health and well-being of communities is impacted by the places we live in, made me excited to pursue this opportunity to focus on incorporating health equity, improving the health of populations, and addressing disparities through city development.
Why did you choose the MCMP program at U of Utah?
Being from Las Vegas, I wanted a change from the usual scenery. I visited the University of Utah and immediately loved the campus, the city, and the environment. Professors reached out to me and showed me the great opportunities that this program can provide. I feel confident, encouraged, and supported as I start my journey here in Salt Lake City and I look forward to furthering my education with this program.
One thing most people don’t know about me:
I love to watch the Twilight Saga, I probably rewatch all the movies at least twice a year.
