Dissertation: “Travel and built environment: evidence from 23 diverse regions of the United States”

Guang Tian is an alumnus of the MPPD PhD program. His background is Geographic Information System (GIS). His current research interests include geographic data, spatial analysis, trip generation, travel behavior and built environment. His dissertation topic is about modeling walk and bike trip generation. He is co-teaching an undergraduate course – Quantitative Methods for Urban Ecology. He has publications on housing preference, public transit and household travel behavior.
