Jordan Katcher is a Community Development Specialist with the Utah Community Development Office. From a rural community in northwestern Pennsylvania, she deeply values community cultures, collaboration, and inclusivity. Having lived in nine states, her background spans across food sovereignty initiatives in Indian Country, parks planning in rural Oregon, and assisting conservation corps nationally on equity, diversity, and inclusion practices. After completing her B.A. in Anthropology and English from the University of Virginia, she served with AmeriCorps for two and a half years. Her service led her to completing a Master of Community & Regional Planning from the University of Oregon. Currently, she is leading a grassroots initiative known as the Utah Rural Coordinating Council, which includes members from 25+ state and federal agencies, universities, and organizations. Together, they strive to enhance their communication with one another and better serve rural Utah.
