Roger Child

Roger Child is a Doctoral Student in the University of Utah Department of City and Metropolitan Planning.  Roger has worked in the real estate industry for over 30 years.  He has worked for an architectural firm, real estate developers, and a property investment firm.  At present he works for an organization that has a presence in over 180 countries.  Roger’s responsibility is to ensure that the organization is planning and acquiring real estate responsibly throughout these markets.  This responsibility requires a blend of business, planning, and economic skills.  These skills have come with experience built on degrees in Finance, Economics, and Masters of Business Administration.  In addition, Roger has been licensed as a real estate broker, appraiser, and as a certified commercial investment member (CCIM).  A PHD in Planning will provide Roger with additional research skills in planning growth throughout the world.
