If you have work experience or have completed an internship, tell us about that experience.
I’ve completed internships at a couple of museums and for the federal government, but my first full-time job was at a local design firm! I worked closely on huge sports venues—like the Chase Center and Allegiant Stadium—where I got to learn more about architecture and city approval processes. It was really cool to see the plans and drawings come to life. Magic might not be real, but I think construction is the closest thing to it!

What are your career goals?
I’m interested in analyzing how spatial design constructs and reinforces power, punishment, and inequities — particularly in the context of jails, prisons, and detention centers. I’m not entirely sure what that work looks like yet, so I’m open to wherever my MCMP & MPP experiences take me! Ultimately, I want to create healthy, equitable, just communities.

Tell us one thing most people don’t know about you.
I once competed at a nationals archery competition when I was in high school!
